Before 1998, BA’s domain aircraft types are Boeing series. In August 1998, BA bought 59 aircrafts of Airbus A320 family to replace its aging fleet of Boeing 737s and A320-100s. In 2007, BA made its long-haul fleet replacement plan and ordered 12 confirmed and 7 options of Airbus A380s, as well as 24 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
